2010 Run Report:
The 2010 5 State Run was held Saturday May 8th, 2010.
In 2003 the first 5-State Run made it’s mark on Guymon, OK. About 100 participants rode that year, and a passion for the Run, the bikers, and the people we help was born. Since then the Run has grown to almost 1000 participants a year while the club has shrunk to only a dozen.
Over 900 bikes rode the 300 miles through Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and Kansas for a chance to win the top prize of $3,000. Will Wooldridge of Oklahoma City claimed the top prize with a Full House, Aces over Sevens. Donna Parrish of Perry had a Full House, Jacks over 10s for a prize of $1,500 and a King High Flush was worth $500 to Barbara Stasyszen of Oklahoma City.
Duke Ingram from Oklahoma City was the oldest biker at 83 years while Cyan Rice of Guymon was the youngest passenger and 16-year-old Phillip Tugman of Locust Grove was the youngest rider on a 250 Honda Rebel. John Rhodd rode 1,600 miles from Richmond, VA to claim the 'I rode the furtherest prize.
Over 1,100 bikers enjoyed barbeques polish sausage and pork sandwiches at the end of the day. Lots of door prizes as well as cash prizes were given out. Vendors were on hand with motorcycle clothing, gear and gifts.
Attendees were able to view a bulletin board showing recipients who received donations from the funds raised in 2009. A lot of money was raised from this run and will be given to community members with medical or financial needs.
The Iron Thunder Motorcycle Club would like to thank all the bikers who come every year to enjoy the event and help us give back to the community. Photos from the run can be seen here.
We hope you enjoy the ride!

New this year was the water stop at the Kenton Mercantile near Black Mesa. The ladies loved visiting the bikers and hoped the bikers enjoyed their brief stop to refresh and learn a little bit about the area.
We sincerely thank everyone who rode out to the Oklahoma Panhandle to participate in the 5-State Run. The money raised is given back to community members who have medical needs. In fact, it was reported during the run that a little girl Iron Thunder had donated to received word that a heart became available that day and she received the heart transplant on May 10. She is now doing fine and is at home recuperating. Your attendance at the 5-State Run allows us to be generous to those with medical and financial needs.
The Iron Thunder Motorcycle Club hopes you had a great time and we want to see you again on Saturday, May 8, 2010!
